Research Interests

My interest is in open quantum systems in quantum computing. This includes transportation of information as well as quantum gates in the presence of decoherence due to an environment. I am especially fascinated by adiabatic schemes.

Furthermore I interested in quantum Brownian motion which is the motion of a relatively heavy Brownian particle suspended in a gas, therefore experiencing random collisions with gas particles. Both, Brownian and gas particles are described in terms of quantum mechanics.
